FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A few questions to go through to help you decide if this training program is for you! Read over all Q & A’s before leaving a question or comment. Hopefully you find the answers you’re looking for!

WHAT LEVEL OF FITNESS DO I NEED TO BE AT BEFORE JOINING THIS PROGRAM? The Strong in 60 Challenge is for all levels, beginner to advanced. All exercises can be scaled to suit the needs of the individual. You can start at a comfortable place for where you’re at.

WHO IS THIS PROGRAM BEST SUITED FOR? The Strong in 60 Challenge is great for any women who are looking to start or continue a fitness routine with the help and support of a trainer and group. Great for busy mom’s who would like to work out at home, or motivated newbies who need some guidance and inspiration! Perhaps you’re just looking for something new and would like to have the option of not going to the gym to workout. This program is perfect for anyone looking for a group to fit into, a community of women all looking to achieve the same goals! It’s the extra push, knowledge, accountability and structure you need to help you get on track.

IF I’M NOT THAT FAMILIAR WITH MANY EXERCISES, HOW WILL I KNOW IF I’M DOING THINGS CORRECTLY? Each workout comes with a video breaking down each exercise and gives suggestions for beginner to advanced movements. You must watch all videos prior to starting. If at any time you’re still not sure about something then we can be in contact to make sure you’re on the right track!

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT? Result will always vary. How much you are willing to put in will show in your end results. IF you follow the program you will likely see strength gain & cardiovascular improvements first. Remember more lean muscle equals more fat burning so we want more lean muscle! Weight/fat loss will vary depending on your current weight, nutritional habits, stress, consistency, etc… Consistency is KEY! A healthy lifestyle doesn’t come overnight, nor does all the results we would like to see. This takes dedication and determination to live a healthier lifestyle! You will get there! Please remember, living healthy and achieving your goals should never be limited to a 2 month program. These are the things we do every single day to live our healthiest lives.

WHERE CAN I DO MY WORKOUTS AND WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED? Your workouts can be done at home! If you want, you can also do them at the gym, outside, at the track or where ever you’d like! Things you will need for your workouts:

  • Dumbbells. 2-3 sets of weights that are best suited for you. 5lbs, 10lbs, and 12lbs is a great place to start.
  • A Swiss Ball.
  • Skipping Rope.
  • Rubber Exercise Band.
  • Yoga mat. (Not necessary but great for a non slip surface and padding)
  • Bench. Your bench can be anywhere from 3-10inches high (adjustable is great)

Walmart, Superstore, Canadian Tire all have these products at decent pricing. You can also look on craigslist or Kijiji to buy second hand.

DO I NEED A LOT OF SPACE FOR THESE WORKOUTS? Definitely not! You will be able to complete your workouts in minimal space. If you’re at home, maybe move a few things out of the way and you should be good to go!

I DON’T HAVE A LOT OF FREE TIME, HOW MUCH TIME IS REQUIRED? All workouts are designed to be less than an hour. On average 35-50 minutes. The extra cardio days you’ll be doing are 45mins or less.

HOW WILL I CONNECT WITH THE OTHER WOMEN IN THE GROUP?  We will have a private Facebook group to connect with all the other women in the challenge. This is a place to encourage one another, share any great recipes you have, tell us how you’re doing and post any awesome sweaty pictures! This is our space as a group to come together, have fun and support each other. Contests and mini challenges, as well as any updates, info and support from me will also happen through this online group.

HOW DOES THE ‘CHALLENGE’ PART WORK? The Strong in 60 Challenge is a personal health and fitness challenge for you to reach your goals. However, for those people who wish to enter before and after photos as well as a short essay there will be a challenge winner (or winners) at the end of our 2 months. Throughout the program, there will also be mini challenges and prizes awarded for anyone in the group who chooses to participate in them! We want to keep it fun, motivating and engaging! IF I DON’T WANT TO BE A PART OF A GROUP CHALLENGE CAN I WORK WITH YOU ONE ON ONE? Yes this is an option for sure! Check out my One on One training page for more details on this as well as small group training (2-4 people)

IS THERE ANYONE WHO WOULD NOT BE A GOOD FIT FOR THIS PROGRAM? Anyone who is restricted due to a serious injury or health issue may not be the best fit as I cannot offer my full attention directly to you during this challenge. If you’re unsure please contact me. As well, this program is not meant to prepare you for your final stages of any fitness/figure competition.
Important Note: this group is NOT a space for rude or negative people. If this is you, sorry I guess you’ll have to keep looking ? There is only room for people who wish to achieve their best and help bring out the best in others!
